BIO

 

 

Sherry Pollack Walker is an artist who splits her time between Newport Beach, California

and Rossland, British Columbia.

 

Originally from NYC, Sherry started her art education studying under Mr. Ron Mehlman at The Brooklyn Museum. After receiving her BFA from Boston University Sherry returned to NYC and began her career as an art director and graphic designer.

 

She rose to the top in her field while working for international advertising agencies as creative director/VP for high profile clients such as Jaguar Cars, BMW and Sony.

 

Young & Rubicam brought her west to Southern California as a senior vice president/Creative Director for the Lincoln/Mercury Brand and Sony brand. A high point at Y&R, Lincoln partnered with VANITY FAIR, which resulted in Sherry creating and designing 20 page inserts focusing on up and coming Celebs for the HOLLYWOOD issues. This gave Sherry access to lots of parties.

 

After a successful career in both print and broadcast media, Sherry returned to her fine art training and roots in drawing, She remains on the west coast.

 

Sherry currently is an active participant at the Art Students League of New York and sits on the Board of Directors of the Pacific Art Foundation of Orange County. She is Influenced by , David Hockney's draftmanship, Wolf Kahn's color and Cy Twombly's energy.

 

She works primarily in the medium of pastels and oil.
